The expression CMS benchtop mass spectrometer employs high-precision mass spectrometry technology. It enables qualitative and quantitative analysis of compounds through ionization, mass separation, and signal detection. First, sample molecules are ionized in the ion source to form charged particles. Subsequently, these particles are separated by mass-to-charge ratio (m/z) in the mass analyzer. Finally, the detector converts ion signals into electrical signals, which are processed to generate mass spectra. Molecular weight information is determined through spectral comparison.
The expression® CMS benchtop mass spectrometer delivers exceptional versatility, enabling rapid switching between multiple sample introduction techniques across entire organic synthesis workflows.
